This ring is made out of a 0,9mm sterling silver plate and a 8mm sterling silver wire. The width is 10mm and the ring is open therefore adjustable. It comes in three different shapes, square, round and triangle. It combines rough mat areas with polished ones.
I named it Automaton because it makes me think of a small mechanical part of a greater machine. As it is worn and becoming part of the wearer’s hand there is a direct reference to robotics and the mechanisation of our bodies.
